Introducción
El Otoño/Invierno 2006 continúa manteniendo como tema esencial la variedad.El color se mueve hacia el lado más oscuro, más rico, con la iluminación de tonos brillantes y suaves que le dan contraste. Esta temporada, el color se utiliza para destacar siluetas, estampados y telas.Los estampados presentan una gama amplia que van de floral a tonos étnicos.Las telas se tornan más lujosas, pero sencillas y “ponibles” conforme nos dirigimos a un ciclo de telas.Continúan como temas para el Otoño/Invierno 2006 los clásicos, antiguos, toques románticos y la inspiración folclórica.Se observa una transformación de las proporciones de la ropa.Aumenta el volumen, pero debe haber equilibrio y control sobre el volumen para que funcione acorde a los clientes de hoy.

Dirección de Color
Dos cosas ocurren al color este otoño.

En primer lugar, aunque el color se oscurece, aún vemos colores brillantes y ricos, al igual que tonalidades más suaves.Los tonos brillantes y los suaves son necesarios para crear contrastes con los colores más oscuros de la temporada.Morados, rojos y tonalidades de “frutillas” son muy importantes.Continuamos viendo una tendencia hacia los azulesverdosos.Los azulesson ricos y brillantes.Los verdes están influenciados por la naturaleza, tales como helechos y árboles de pino.Los verdes comienzan a influenciar a los marrones o cafés.Los amarillo oro o mostaza complementan losnaranjas oxidados y de especias.El tono camello es el más importante de los neutros, seguido por el gris, café y negro.

Introduction
Fall/Winter 2006 continues with the key theme being variety.Color moves toward the darker, richer side with the illumination of bright and soft tones for contrast.This season color is used to enhance silhouettes, prints, and fabric.Prints display a wide range from floral to ethnic overtones.Fabrics become more luxurious yet approachable and wearable, as we move toward a fabric cycle.Continuing themes such as the classics, vintage, romantic touches and folkloric inspirations move forward into Fall/Winter 2006.We see a transformation of clothing proportions.Volume is up-trending in silhouettes but there must be balance and control over the volume in order for it to work for today’s customers.

Color Direction
There are two issues happening in color this Fall.

First, while color is darkening, we still see rich, bright shades as well as softer tones.The brighter and softer tones are necessary to create contrasts with the darker colors of the season.Purples, Reds, and Berry shades are most important.We continue to see Blue Greens uptrend.The Blues are rich and bright. The Greens are influenced by nature such as Ferns and Pine Trees.The Greens begin to influence the Browns.Mustard Yellows and Gold compliment the Spice Oranges and Rusts.Camel is the most important of the neutrals, followed by Grey, Brown, and Black.
