Esta frase fue concebida hace tiempo cuando pretendí sintetizar la importancia del concepto de la producción flexible para aquellas empresas decididas a trascender y afrontar creativamente las reglas del juego impuestas por la economía globalizada. Durante los quince años que llevo dedicados a la investigación, desarrollo e implementación de sistemas alternativos de manufactura, he comprobado cómo estas palabras han cobrado mayor fuerza y contundencia, en un mundo cambiante que cada día pone a prueba las habilidades de supervivencia de compañías de distintos países, en especial en toda Latinoamérica.
La industria de la confección no está exenta de este proceso de cambio y a nivel mundial se enfrenta a un escenario que multiplica día a día su complejidad y competitividad, tornándose cada vez más temible para las economías locales.

This phrase was spoken some time ago, when I tried to summarize the importance of the flexible production concept for those companies intended on transcending and creatively facing the rules of the game imposed by a global economy. During the fifteen years I have been dedicated to research, development and implementation of alternate manufacturing systems, I have proven that these words become stronger and firmer in a changing world that every day tries the survival capabilities of companies in different countris, especially all over Latin America.
The apparel industry is not immune to this process of change, and is globally facing a scenario that multiplies its complexity and competitiveness daily, becoming more frightening to local economies.
Due to this reality, and impulsed by the support and influence of several peers and friends, I decided to present my professional experiences in a book, so as to provide a humble aid for today´s executives and professionals, called to promote reconversion of the business with the goal of redesigning
