Neutros Fríos
Los neutros juegan un papel importante esta temporada, ya que existe una variedad tan amplia de color. Esta temporada se necesitan neutros tanto cálidos como fríos. El blanco sigue siendo clave, no obstante, vemos más gamas de blanco. Aparecen el blanco lino y los blancos piedra. El khaki se ve influenciado por tonos de cuerdas y el amarillo mantequilla. Elegancia Fría

E mergen imágenes frías y elegantes para mujeres y hombres. Las telas de lujo y los colores más suaves destacan esta tendencia. La paleta de color es fría y liviana, destacando la imagen de elegancia. Los colores clave son los amarillos suaves, rosas, morados, con

* Cool Neutrals
The neutrals play a very important roll this season since there is such a wide variety of color. Both warm and cool cast neutrals are needed this season. White continues to be key, however er are seeing a few more shades of white. Linen white, and stone whites emerge. Khaki is influenced by shades of rope and butter yellow. Due to the softer, muted fashion shades, taupe become an important basic. TREND, FABRIC, AND PRINT DIRECTION


Previous seasons consited of apparel being in a color cycle or perhaps in a print cycle. For this season we see many different cycles ocurring at once Spring/Summer 2006 has fabric cycle, a print cycle, and trend cycle happening at once. Color enhances each of these cycles. As we move into the season, we head towards subtle, classic, wearable, elegant, sportly, and sophisticated looks. Embellishment and a variety of choice continue.

Cool Elegance

Cool and elegant looks emerge for women and men. Softer colors and luxury fabrics highlight this trend. The color palette is cool and light, enhancing the elegant look. Key colors are soft yellows, pinks, purples, with mint and aqua greens. Cooler cast neutrals such as grey and taupe compliment the softer tones. The key fabrics under this trend are cotton, silk, linen, and tropical wool. They are light in weight yet classic. Textures appear such as boucle and summer tweeds. Tiny ribs and fluid jerseys are key to knitwear. Viscose and polyamide provide luster and shine. Finishes play an important roll in the cool elegance trend. Finishes transform a color as well as the fabric. It can give it a sand-washed, muted look or a luster, icy image. Knits and wovens feature shiny and glazed finishes. In women's glazed linen and indescent fabrics are used for slacks, jackets and skirts. In men's silk is blended with other fabrics for shine, as well as mercerized finished are added. In women's the shaped suit and the dress are key items. Skirts become longer, right below the knee to above the ankle. Slightly more volume is added to the skirts and slack silhouettes. Blouses are feminine and knits are compact and light. Textures are small with some open work. Slacks are flat front or single pleat. Most bottoms have a 1-2 inch cuff. Prints are pretty but are subtle. Suited looks continue to be important to menswear. Newness is coming from colors such as taupe, grey and cooler browns.
