The dollar is adding to its gains Tuesday in New York with the euro sliding to a two-week low, under $1.42, as investors scram from their leveraged bets against the greenback. Hopes that Congress can come to an agreement on the government's proposed $700 billion bailout plan, after voting it down on Monday, were also boosting U.S. sentiment in the greenback. NEW YORK – Crude-oil futures traded higher Tuesday as the financial sector paused after the previous day's free-fall. Light, sweet crude for November delivery traded $2.55, or 2.7%, higher at $98.92 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
